New Orlando Brunch Cafe Blew Me Away
I got invited to check out a new Orlando restaurant that is trying to open this summer. They asked a bunch of Central Florida bloggers and food reviewers to come out to a pop-up restaurant and give them our feedback. The name of the place is Butter My Biscuits! Cafe and they want to be the best brunch cafe in Orlando. Lol, the name sounds a little kinky if you ask me but ok, apparently its an old southern saying and they decided to use it as a business name. Even if you don’t understand the meaning behind it, you’ll instantly know what this place serves. Biscuits. And lots of them.

I made the short drive from Lakeland to Orlando to the designated location, and was greeted by the owner Amy and her husband. We were guided to our seats, where we were treated to a pot of coffee. After a short speech about her vision, Amy send out the food.
I gotta say, I was impressed. We tried the typical brunch foods like pancakes and waffles, a few meats like bacon and sausage. And dishes like country fried steak, biscuits and gravy and a patty melt style cheeseburger with fried onion straws, bacon and bbq sauce. I really enjoyed everything I tried.
For our last tasting, we tried “key lime pie ricotta pancakes.” Wow. Instead of the traditional lemon ricotta version (which they will also serve) they use key lime pie filling on top with graham cracker crumbs. OMG it was like desert for breakfast. I love lemon ricotta pancakes, but these key lime pie ones were so much better. Amy said her husband came up with the idea and recipe. Props to him because these are gonna be a big seller.
I’ll keep you all updated on an opening date as soon as I hear about one.
